The Cat Spay/Neuter Connection was formed in 2007.
The primary mission of the Cat Spay/Neuter Connection is to reduce cat overpopulation by preventing the births of unplanned and unwanted kittens in the Omaha metro area. Our focus was to assist those in low income areas and seniors living on a fixed income. From April 2007 through April 2012 our program worked with a small group of local veterinarian clinics and our organization helped families with the cost of spay or neuter of their pet cat.
As of April 15th, 2012 we are no longer issuing any new vouchers. Our mission remains the same, however, are revising our program guidelines. Soon, the Nebraska Humane Society will open the doors to the new Spay Omaha Solution (SOS) Lied Spay/Neuter Center. This new low cost spay/neuter clinic will open May 1st, 2012 and will be providing affordable spay and neuter services for both cats and dogs.
To contact the SOS clinic call 402-905-3490.
